What camera do you use?
I have a Canon t1i, and mainly shoot using a 50mm lens. I recently purchased a 2.8 macro lens, and have been using that regularly as well. I use natural light when possible, but also use an external flash and umbrella lights for indoor photography during the winter months.
Do you do product reviews?
I love working with companies for product reviews, provided it’s an item that I’d use in my kitchen or home and am proud to endorse. Please contact me for more information.
What went wrong?
I speak from experience when I say that many things can go wrong in the kitchen. Ovens vary, ingredients vary, equipment varies. I only share recipes that I’ve tried in my own kitchen, that have turned out great – and we’ve loved. If you’ve tried one that hasn’t turned out, I’m sorry – but take comfort in knowing that we’ve all been there. Don’t let it discourage you! Get right back in the saddle, soften some more butter, and try again!
How did you get started cooking?
I started cooking as a newlywed, in an effort to save money. It quickly grew into a hobby that I adored, and I’ve not looked back. There is always something new to be learned in the kitchen!
What is your most-used kitchen equipment?
Good knives are indispensable – I don’t know what I would do without them. I also use my stand mixer daily. And, I couldn’t live without rubber spatulas, wooden spoons, tongs, and my microplane.
Where do you get your linens from?
I can’t say enough about Hen House Linens. 90% of my photos are taken using their linens. They are beautiful and colorful, and wash and dry extremely well. You don’t even need to iron them! Check out their complete line on their website, and be sure to like them on Facebook – Β tell them I sent you over!
